ATTENTION! THE TOPICS ON THIS PAGE ARE BROUGHT TO YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SHARING THE TRUTH IN GOD'S WORD. THEY ARE NOT HERE TO CONDEMN YOU FOR YOUR SINS. THERE IS ONLY ONE WHO CAN JUDGE AND THAT IS GOD!
No matter what your sin is, Christ died to cover it, and you can be forgiven. It does not matter what you have done, it is not too late to make it right. I am not bringing these things up in hypocrisy as every human has sinned, rather am supplying knowledge of the Word of God that I have discovered. I can't stress enough that it is not too late - but after you die, it is too late. We are all human, but we have a great Lord of mercy just waiting with open arms to forgive and invite us into His family. The only sin too big for Christ to carry is the unforgiven one! What is sin? How can a little 3-letter word be so misunderstood? First off, the definition for sin is: a transgression of divine law, regrettable action, and a violation of moral principle. Much like the laws in our society today there are also laws that we must not break outlined in the Bible. Breaking these laws is called Sin. The first set of laws that come to mind are the 10 commandments. But there are other laws emphasized throughout the Bible as well. Such things pertaining to marriage, homosexuality, abortion, etc. When God's laws are followed there are no negative effects. God didn't make anything bad, he only made good. "God saw all that he made, and it was very good." Over time man (referring to all human beings) has made things bad, but man can, with God's help, make things right again. "...because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ."
Many believe that sin applies to each person individually. Let me explain, the custom for thinking that an action is only wrong depends on the circumstance, the persons emotion or state of mind at the time, and what others think. That is an incorrect way to interpret sin. Sin is universal. There are only two ways to go but only one can be chosen, either the right way or the wrong way, and it is the same for every person. There is always a choice, it only matters what you want to get out of it. If you focus on temporary relief, a quick fix, or personal happiness for the duration you will have a better chance of giving into sin. If you keep in mind the Lord's promises to you for obeying His Word you will have a better chance of defeating the temptation to sin. God's laws apply to all of us, no matter our race, our background, our gender or age. These Words were written for every person, and for every person to follow, not for individual interpretation on right and wrong. It is clearly written in the text. The bottom line to this is that there is no in-between. There is only right and wrong, heaven and hell, and either you believe in Jesus Christ or you do not. "...he who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man shall not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does." What is the main reason why Christianity is not accepted? Apart from the fact that many do not believe in the birth of Jesus from a virgin. People do not like absolutes. Well let me tell you God is an absolute God. He made things to be done the absolute right way. He made things absolutely good. Remember man is responsible for giving into sinful desires, not God. It is absolutely important that we understand that concept. You may wonder "If God is so good how can he do bad things to me?" You need to know God didn't do bad things to you. He can allow things to happen in your life, however; to test your reactions and to get you to change your life, and to rely on him, and trust him to work things out. (He wants to reveal His heart to you.) The sooner you grasp that fact the sooner you can begin to live a life filled with the love of the Father and have blessings beyond compare and containment.
Even as a Christian, I will never claim to be perfect. A human cannot make that claim. There was only one who came perfect - Jesus Christ! But as Christians, we strive to be like him. We are transformed by His blood. Anyone claiming to be perfect and without sin is in denial. With humans it is impossible. But, that doesn't mean we should deliberately disobey our creator. We can't knowingly sin and then expect mercy just to continue in sinful ways of living. That is a slap in the face to the One who created man. As humans we make mistakes, and God understands this but we were given the capacity to know right from wrong and an awesome book to lay it all out for us. When you ask forgiveness of you sins, do it in faith for Jesus Christ. Not to make yourself look better only then to turn around and do it again on purpose. God knows everyone's heart and he knows when you are acting in faith or when you do it for show with emptiness.God knows that we are sinners and that we make mistakes. We are only human. We walk around blind if we don't know Christ and live by the Word of God. That is why we are given the Bible for an instruction manual of how to live. This is our guide to the law. We must read it, receive it and understand it.Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven. Jude 1:22-23 Msg
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NIV
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 NIV
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Colossians 3:5-10 NIVIf you are honest about your sins and you confess them to the Lord, you will be forgiven. For He already knows all our sins. Nothing is hidden to the Lord. "His eyes move to and fro across the earth". God is not quick to condemn that any of His children should perish, this is why He has given us a second chance with Jesus. Regret means it's too late, that it already happened but you can change the future repetitions of it. Forgiveness wipes away all the sinful behavior through the washing of the blood of the Lamb.
Remember just because you have the "right" to do something, that doesn't always make it right. Keep in mind Matthew 7:13 when it is said that many enter through the wide gate leading to destruction, but it is the narrow gate we want to enter through, the gate to all righteousness. As part of this concept, Luke 13:3 tells us that if we do not repent, we shall perish. Continuing with this, in 1 John 5:16-17 it is written that if we see our brother committing sin (not leading to death as some sins do) we should pray for them, and God will deliver them to life.
Satan indeed allures us into sinful behavior, but we know that he is only allowed to do what we let him. He doesn't throw us off the deep end right away, he deceives us slowly starting with us questioning God's word. (especially in our own circumstances.) When we question, it leaves room for doubt, which ultimately leads to thinking we "know better", and don't have to follow the Word of God. (mostly because we think it no longer applies to us.) There is no greater sin against God than this. God's Word applies to all, there are no exceptions to sinful behavior. It is or it isn't. Consult your Bible. The ultimate weapon against Satan is to trust God wholeheartedly in any circumstance big or small. Make a habit of asking God His opinion, and taking an inventory of His Word, on how He would handle things. As long as we continue to talk with God, Satan has no power, for he despises this. There is no room in the house of our heart for Satan which is occupied by Jesus Christ the Lord whom saves us.
Acts 17:30 reminds us that since we are no longer ignorant of His truth, we have to repent. Romans 10:9 speaks of confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and if we do this, how can we not repent? If not, then this truth does not really reside in our hearts and therefore we are lying. What we confess with our mouths comes from within. What is within is true, and what we believe. Anything else is not whole and is a lie.
Remember you must first accept the Son, Jesus Christ. Then ask forgiveness of your sins, and repent of them. You shall be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
